The guideline was developed jointly by the AGA’s Clinical Practice Guideline Committee and the JTF with approval of both the boards of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; and approved by both the AGA Governing Board and JTF Governing Boards. Development of this guideline and its accompanying technical review was fully funded by both the AGA Institute and the JTF, with no additional outside funding. The development process followed a standard peer review process as well as a 30-day public commenting period.
