Abstract
Preliminary observations suggest the presence of arginine vasopressin (AVP) in these PRL preparations in amounts adequate to produce an antidiuresis. These observations are similar to that of Baumann et al. who found significant contamination of ACTH and HGH with AVP. Therefore, we suggest that absence of significant contamination with AVP be demonstrated for PRL preparations used in physiologic studies.
