Abstract

In most instances, the criteria for physician certification in critical care medicine and program accreditation for critical care fellowship training programs are outlined in detail by the appropriate certification and accreditation agencies. The following multiauthored discussion outlines the experience with both of these processes by physicians who are trained in critical care medicine and who direct or actively participate in a training program. Authors focus on areas unique to their specialty background.
